Apple Pay is not officially supported in
Nigeria, which is why the “Add Card” option may not appear by default in your
Wallet app. However, if you have a Platnova USD Virtual Card, you can still add
it to Apple Pay by following the steps below.
🚫 Why the Card Option is Missing in Wallet
When your iPhone or Apple ID region is set to
Nigeria, Apple automatically hides Apple Pay setup for debit/credit cards.
You’ll only see options to add boarding passes and tickets.

🛠 Step-by-Step: Add Platnova Card to Apple Wallet
🔁 Step 1: Change iPhone Region to United States
1. Go to Settings > General > Language
& Region
2. Tap Region
3. Select United States
4. Restart your iPhone
🌍 Step 2: Change Apple ID Country/Region to United
States
1. Open Settings > [your name] > Media
& Purchases > View Account
2. Tap Country/Region > Change Country or Region
3. Select United States
4. Enter a U.S. billing address and ZIP (available in your Platnova app)
5. Confirm the change
💳 Step 3: Add Your Platnova Card in Wallet
1. Open the Wallet app
2. Tap the “+” (plus icon) at the top-right
3. Select “Debit or Credit Card”
4. Tap “Enter Card Details Manually”
5. Input:
- Card Number
- Expiry Date
- CVV
- Billing ZIP Code (from your card
billing info)
🔐 Step 4: Complete Card Verification
• An OTP will be sent to your registered
Platnova email address
• Enter the OTP or follow the prompt to verify the card
• Card will be added once verification is successful

Once the card is added:
